Film Fixer in Uzbekistan

Local coordination between your production plan and the people who make a location workable. Cinema Service supports international and domestic productions in Uzbekistan, from initial enquiries to the shooting day.

A point of contact on the ground

A film fixer connects the production team with site owners, local contacts and suppliers. Cinema Service and Production helps turn those conversations into information a producer can use: what is possible, what needs approval and who is responsible. We clarify the request, explain the proposed activity and bring the response back to your team. This is not a promise of unrestricted access. The practical value is knowing which arrangements are confirmed and which remain assumptions before travel and shooting commitments are made.

Start with the brief

Send the project format, proposed dates, cities and approximate travelling crew size. Scene descriptions, reference images and a list of actions are useful: interviews, traffic, night work or background performers can involve different preparations. Tell us the working language, equipment footprint and any locations already approached. An unfinished schedule is not a problem if you identify what is fixed and what can change. We can then separate preliminary enquiries from work that requires a defined preparation stage and an approved scope.

Build a local coordination plan

We identify the people and organisations that need to be consulted, then connect those enquiries with the crew's movements. The agreed plan may include location communication, local transport coordination, translation of production requirements and liaison with suppliers. A location entry should describe more than an address: arrival point, access hours, unloading arrangements and the person receiving the team all matter. You can see what has been confirmed and what is still awaiting a response. Commitments to hire, spend or alter a scene remain subject to producer approval.

Preparation and the shooting day

During preparation, we check that local contacts understand the size of the unit, the planned activity and the time needed for setup and departure. On the day, a fixer maintains communication with those contacts, helps resolve access questions and reports changes to the production team. When conditions change, we discuss workable options rather than making promises on behalf of a site owner. The assignment also needs a clear finish: outstanding arrangements are identified and relevant information is handed back to your production coordinator.

What the service includes

The assignment can cover preliminary calls, arranging meetings, accompanying a scout, explaining production requirements and local coordination during filming. The brief and estimate define the actual scope. Location fees, official charges, transport, accommodation and specialist services are not automatically included. A fixer does not replace a legal adviser, department head or the authority deciding a permit application. Special activities require their own checks. Cinema Service has no equipment rental warehouse or studio of its own; technical infrastructure is coordinated through Bayram-Film and group partners.

Allow time for dependencies

The preparation period depends on the number of locations, the completeness of the brief and the complexity of approvals. A straightforward recce and a shoot involving several authorities cannot share one universal deadline. We first establish which decisions must be made before travel, then identify dependencies between access, transport and crew arrangements. Tell us immediately if dates are close. We can assess priorities and a realistic scope, but an urgent enquiry does not make permission or access automatic.

Experience within the Bayram-Film group

Cinema Service is a subsidiary of Bayram-Film. The group's published portfolio includes local producing for Eterna (2024), production service for Krutaya Peremena 2 (2025) and support for the international project Khuda Haafiz (2020). These are credits of the Bayram-Film group team, not claims that each contract belonged to Cinema Service. They provide context for our production background. The team, responsibilities and availability for your project still need to be agreed separately.

Service questions

Can we book a fixer only for a recce?

Yes. Preliminary enquiries, meetings or an accompanied scout can be discussed as a separate assignment, with its own route, scope and expected outcome.

Do you work only with foreign companies?

No. We support local and international productions. The scope depends on which tasks the client already handles through its own team.

Does a fixer guarantee filming permission?

No. We help prepare and coordinate enquiries; the authority or site owner makes the decision. Pending access is not treated as confirmed.

Can you support filming outside Tashkent?

Yes, we consider projects across Uzbekistan. Travel, local contacts and associated expenses are discussed after reviewing the proposed locations and dates.

What should the first message contain?

Send dates, the city and a short scene description through WhatsApp or email. You can also call the contact number for an initial discussion.
